Have you ever been told your test results are fine, yet something still feels deeply wrong? Or recovered from an illness only to find the same pattern returning months later? Sometimes the body is trying to communicate something that blood tests and scans cannot fully capture.
Energy blocks are disruptions in the body’s subtle energy field that can manifest as physical symptoms when left unaddressed. This article explores how complementary energy healing, especially through Reiki and Theta Healing, identify and clears those blocks.
At Faros Spirit, I work with clients who are not just seeking relief from symptoms — they are seeking to understand the root of what is happening. Energy healing is not a replacement for medical care. It is a complementary approach, and it is called that for a reason: it works alongside whatever treatment your medical team is already providing, addressing dimensions of health that conventional medicine does not yet have the tools to measure.

How Energy Blocks Manifest in the Body
The relationship between energy and physical health follows a clear direction: disturbance begins in the subtler layers first — in the spirit, in the emotional body, in the mind — and over time, if left unaddressed, it works its way into the physical body. This means that by the time a symptom appears physically, it has usually been present energetically for some time.
An injury will also move in the opposite direction: a physical trauma disturbs the associated chakras, shifts the emotional state and changes the overall energy of the person. The two directions are always in dialogue.
Common ways energy blocks manifest physically:
- pain with no clear cause
- fatigue that sleep does not resolve
- recurring disease in the same area of the body
- tightness or heaviness that feels emotional rather than muscular
- symptoms that arrive or worsen during periods of stress, grief or change
The heart chakra is a good example. When this energy centre carries unresolved grief, inherited emotional suppression or long-held heartbreak, it does not stay contained to the emotional body. Over time it can affect the lungs, the upper back, the shoulders and commonly extend its influence toward the throat.

Two Approaches to Energy Healing for the Body
Reiki in Bedford

When working with a client through Reiki, I do not follow a fixed protocol. I begin by channelling Reiki energy and allow my intuition to guide where attention is needed. Some areas feel tender, others stagnant or heavy or unusually loose. I observe how the chakras are functioning individually and how they are communicating with each other.
What happens next is not something I direct. Reiki energy is gentle and non-invasive. It flows to where it is needed most, in the way that is most appropriate for that person. My role is to stay present, notice what arises and open myself to whatever insights come through. Clients often report feeling lighter after a session, noticing a shift in physical tension they had been carrying for years.

Theta Healing in Bedford

Theta Healing works differently. Rather than reading the body through energy flow, it works by going to the root of why a condition exists in the first place.
With a client presenting a physical symptom, the process moves through three dimensions. The past: when did this begin, what was happening in their life at that time, what circumstances created the conditions for this to take hold? The present: is this condition serving a purpose? Sometimes disease becomes a way of receiving care, of keeping the peace in a family, or of avoiding something that feels more threatening than the symptom itself. These are not conscious choices, they are protective patterns. The future: what happens when the client imagines being well? Often there are fears there too. Fear of change, of responsibility, of losing an identity that has formed around the disease.
All three dimensions are worked through. The limiting beliefs that were holding the condition in place are addressed and replaced with beliefs that allow the client to move forward without them as a crutch.
Theta Healing: A Case Study
A client came to me with severe digestive issues that conventional treatment eased but never fully resolved. Through Theta Healing we traced the origin to a period of compounding shocks — professional and personal — that had triggered deeper unresolved trauma. Left unprocessed, that stress had rooted in the body, spreading from the digestive system to her musculoskeletal system and libido. Once we identified the root, worked through the beliefs formed around it and released the emotional charge, her physical symptoms began to ease. She also made broader life changes around stress and self-care and has maintained that shift since.
What the Medical World Gets Right and Where the Gap Is
Medicine is extraordinarily effective at managing symptoms and in many cases providing cures too. That should not be minimised. But what is often missing is an exploration of the psychological and environmental context in which the illness arrived. What was happening in this person’s life when the condition first appeared? What were they carrying emotionally? What was the state of their inner world?
The mind-body connection has started being acknowledged in medical research but is still not fully integrated into standard care. The spirit dimension — the idea that a person’s sense of meaning, their unresolved history, their energetic state — contributes to physical health is further still from mainstream acceptance. That gap is exactly where complementary energy healing operates. Not in opposition to medicine, but to complement its power.

Clearing What the Body Cannot Clear Alone
Beyond Reiki and Theta Healing, two other approaches I use are relevant here.
Aura cleansing works on the outer layers of the energy field — the aura — where external influences, the energy of other people and accumulated residue from difficult experiences can settle and create drag on the system. A clear aura supports the body’s own capacity to heal. You can read more about this in my blog: Aura Cleansing: How to Keep Your Energy Clear and Protected.
Akashic Records readings serve a different purpose. They bring awareness. Many physical patterns have roots in past life experience, ancestral inheritance or deep soul-level material that has never surfaced consciously. The Akashic Records allow us to identify those roots clearly, which is often the first step toward releasing them. Awareness precedes and enables change.

What Changes When Energy Blocks Are Cleared
Clients who work through energy blocks consistently report more than symptom relief. They describe feeling more themselves. Clearer. Less burdened by something they could never quite name. Physical symptoms often ease. Sleep improves. The body, no longer working against itself, begins to find its own balance again.
If you have been managing symptoms without getting to the root, energy healing may be the missing layer. If this resonates, I invite you to explore what energy healing might offer you, alongside whatever care you are already receiving. Book a session at Faros Spirit and let’s find out what your body has been trying to tell you.
